By telling the tale of the surfers from the « Grand Plage » this film features the transitional period of surfing from a counter culture and to an officially recognised high level sport. Surfing in Biarritz, France, in the 1980s was a way of refusing the system. The surfers` thirst for perfection and pure sensations could lead them to glory or directly to prison. This is the unknown story of the six best European surfers. The history of their greatness and decadence.
Featuring Laird Hamilton, Tom Curren, Jeff Hakman…
